Take Care Mama Massage is an award-winning boutique massage practice specializing in pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and women's wellness.
We believe massage therapy is healthcare—not a luxury—and every treatment is an opportunity to support a mother physically, emotionally, and mentally through one of the most transformative seasons of her life.
This is not a high-volume spa position.
Our clients seek us out because they want thoughtful, specialized care. We work alongside pelvic floor physical therapists, chiropractors, doulas, lactation consultants, and other perinatal providers to support women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
We're looking for an experienced, compassionate massage therapist who shares that philosophy and is interested in developing a long-term career in specialized perinatal care.
Position Details
Position: Part-Time W-2 Employee
Hands-On Massage Rate: $45–$55 per massage hour, based on experience, qualifications, and advanced training.
Non-Service Rate: $20/hour for required non-hands-on work time, including paid transition time between clients, charting, room turnover, meetings, training, and other assigned responsibilities.
Schedule Availability:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 5:30 PM–9:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Weekend availability required

Additional hours may become available as the practice grows
Important: This is a growing position. While Take Care Mama Massage has strong existing client demand, a newly hired therapist will be building their caseload within the practice. Appointment volume may vary during the first several months, and a fully booked schedule is not guaranteed immediately.
A Different Pace of Massage
We intentionally schedule 30 minutes between appointments.
Rather than expecting therapists to turn over a room and prepare for their next client in 10–15 minutes, we believe both therapists and clients benefit from a more thoughtful pace.
This paid transition time allows our therapists to complete documentation, assist with rebooking when needed, reset the treatment room, take care of personal needs, and mentally and physically prepare for the next client.
Required transition and non-service time is paid at $20/hour.

Our Compensation Philosophy
Take Care Mama Massage is proudly a gratuity-free practice.
We believe therapists should receive transparent professional compensation without depending upon tips to make their compensation worthwhile.
Our hands-on massage rate reflects the skill and physical demands of massage therapy, while required non-service work is also compensated.
Clients know the full cost of their care upfront, and therapists can focus on providing an exceptional experience without the awkwardness or uncertainty surrounding gratuity.

Current Colorado Massage Therapy License

Minimum of three years of professional massage therapy experience

Experience providing prenatal massage and/or a strong demonstrated interest in specializing in perinatal massage

Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Excellent communication skills and professionalism

Dependability and strong time-management skills

Willingness to pursue advanced professional education in prenatal, postpartum, and abdominal bodywork

Genuine passion for supporting mothers through pregnancy and postpartum
Specialty Education
We are looking for a therapist who wants to become an expert in perinatal massage, but you do not need to arrive with every advanced certification already completed.
Formal education in the following is strongly preferred:

Prenatal and postpartum massage
-
Abdominal therapy or equivalent therapeutic belly work
-
Pregnancy and postpartum physiology
Candidates with strong massage experience who have not yet completed all specialty education are encouraged to apply if they are committed to pursuing approved professional continuing education after hire.
Take Care Mama Massage provides extensive paid onboarding and mentorship in our treatment philosophy, clinical protocols, client experience, and practice standards.
However, Take Care Mama Massage is not a massage school or certification provider. Therapists may therefore be expected to obtain certain professional certifications through approved outside continuing-education programs within an agreed-upon timeframe.
Tuition, certification fees, travel, and lodging for outside programs are generally the responsibility of the therapist. Approved required training time will be compensated when applicable.

Being a mother yourself and having personal experience with the perinatal season is welcomed and valued, but absolutely not required.
